W32/Spybot.worm!dx Worm Removal
The W32/Spybot.worm!dx Worm is a piece of malicious software often associated with the Kazaa file sharing network. Once it's been installed on your machine, the trojan changes several key values in your Windows Registry and convinces your computer that it is an authorized application with the Windows Firewall program. This prevents Windows from automatically blocking W32/Spybot.worm!dx while it does its work with your computer.
Once installed, W32/Spybot.worm!dx connects to a channel on Internet Relay Chat (IRC) where it will take commands from the hacker who now controls your machine. Typically, this person in control uses the infected machine and it's Internet connection to conduct Denial of Service attacks on other machines on the Internet, thus destroying the infect computers Internet connection and speed.
